Nakama Craft

Your Nakama characters, in Minecraft. They chat and whisper like real players, follow you, fight for you, mine, craft, farm and build in their own style, and remember you. Yuna, Rui, Kuroi, Touka and Rim are in from the start, and any published Nakama character can join.

Android

One app, ready to play
  1. Install the APK. Allow installs from your browser if Android asks.
  2. Sign in with the Microsoft account that owns Minecraft Java.
  3. Press Play. The first start downloads Minecraft from Mojang once. Java and the mods are already inside.

  1. Get the Modrinth App or Prism Launcher (free).
  2. Open the .mrpack with it. It sets up Minecraft, Fabric and the mod.
  3. Play. Prefer the official launcher? Use the zip; the steps are inside.

Your own server

For you and your friends
  1. Install Java 25 (Temurin) and unzip.
  2. Run start.bat (or start.sh), accept the EULA, add your OpenRouter key.
  3. Friends join with the same modpack.

Play together with everyone's companions, each with a fair daily allowance per player. Add it in Multiplayer → Add Server.

What they do

Talk like playersOnly their words reach chat. Whisper with /w Rim hey and they whisper back. They show up in the Tab list, join and leave like players, and earn advancements.
True to the cardEach character runs on her Nakama card word for word, so her personality decides what she says and does.
Build anythingFrom a hut to a castle, each in her own style, or from any .schem or .litematic blueprint. In survival she pays for every block and works at a player's pace.
Fight for youEach has her own fighting style: Touka's martial arts, Rui's speed, Kuroi's bow at night, Yuna's ambush, Rim stepping in front of you.
Survive with youCraft with real recipes, smelt, farm, fish, mine down to ore, use chests, and get hungry like you do.
ClosenessPress G: hold hands, hug, kiss, sit together, or start a private scene. She answers as herself.
Getting started in a world
/nakama summon rim calls her (also yuna, rui, kuroi, touka)
/nakama add <name> adds any published Nakama character
No API key needed: Nakama thinks for them, with a daily allowance per device. To play past it, /nakamakey <key> uses your own OpenRouter key (it stays on your device).
On a phone: chat is the chat button at the top; add a G button in the control editor for the closeness menu.

Nakama Craft is a fan mod, not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft. The Android app is built on Amethyst (LGPL-3.0); source. Mods load with Fabric.
